This masterclass workshop is designed to give you an understanding of the art of digital black and white photography and post-processing. Ken Wright and Gail Stent will lead you through a mixture of both tuition and post-processing sessions. You’ll also receive a copy of Ken’s two eBooks “Advanced Black & White” and “Black & White in HDR”. We’ll conclude the masterclass by printing two of your best images as 13×19″ fine art prints.

Learn an advanced B&W conversion workflow and techniques for processing dramatic monochrome images with depth.
We will explore the shoreline of Lake Taupo and spend some time photographing the “Taupo Tree” as well as an early morning sunrise shoot at an old picturesque wharf. We’ll also journey deep into the unique King Country to a not-open-to-the-public Ghost Town location, where our host will give us a guided tour. On route back from the King Country we’ll visit several locations of interest for more opportunities to shoot.

Creative Auckland-based photographer, Gail Stent, has developed a passion for Fine Art photography over the years. She uses her camera and post production techniques to create images as a form of self expression, evoking emotions in the viewer.
