Spencer loves spending time in the mountains, hiking, camping and photographing while enjoying the wonderful scenery.

 

He has always owned a camera but started taking photography more seriously over the last 15 years. Since then his landscape and wildlife images have received recognition in several major photography competitions including New Zealand Geographic, Australian Geographic, Outdoor Photographer and Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year. He has also been published in various books, calendars and magazines. 

 

In recent years, Spencer has been refining a collection of colour and black and white images focused mainly on New Zealand’s South Island, including the Canterbury High Country and Mackenzie Basin.
