Joel Staveley is a Director of Photography who’s time is equally divided between stills and video production living in Auckland, New Zealand.

Entirely self-taught, Joel left his specialist engineering career in 2016 to turn his once hobby of photography and film into a working lifestyle, only to also visit dozens of countries and become involved with adventure tour guiding in New Zealand over the course of the following years.

When Joel isn’t working he continues to explore and embrace other avenues of photography and video – everything from shooting portraiture with dancers and bodybuilders to capturing star trails and time-lapses.
