Shaun was such a kind, clever, brilliant man – understated, witty and sharp. He was eternally curious and always quick to share his knowledge and help others.

 

As a wildly passionate lover of all things outdoors, backcountry and wilderness, his adventures and shenanigans have been enjoyed by many through his books, magazine articles and photography. His work will live on and continue to delight people – as will the memory of just how much of a genuinely good man he was.

 

Shaun has been with New Zealand Photography Workshops since the very beginning and will be deeply missed by all of our team. His passion for photographing the wilderness landscape and his vast knowledge of history, flora and fauna inspired all who journeyed around New Zealand with Shaun as their guide. He created truly special experiences for so many on our tours.

 

He was much loved by NZPW clients and our team alike. We will miss him dearly. Rest easy dear Shaun.
