FURTHER INFORMATION

+ITINERARY

Start time on Friday: We will begin the workshop at lunchtime on Friday starting with a discussion on on Macro and Close-Up photography, running through the techniques that will be covered over the weekend and then putting these techniques into practice

Finish time on Sunday: We aim to be finished by 3 pm on Sunday to allow people time to travel home.

Our exact schedule will be determined according to the whole group’s photographic objectives and the weather. We keep a flexible itinerary to accommodate this. We will spend the workshop instructing and shooting, often from before dawn until after dark. At some point, during the weekend your tutor will give a lecture on their photographic ability and how you can apply their systems and vision to develop your own unique style.

+CLASS SIZE

Maximum group size of 4 led by one tutor. Limiting class sizes ensures we provide you with the best learning environment possible, including expert guidance, instruction and personal attention, according to your learning style.

+TRANSPORT

Transport to the workshop is not included, however, we are happy to help arrange transport or put you in touch with any people travelling from your area. Once on the workshop all transport is included.

+PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY

A reasonable level of fitness is necessary to enjoy the workshop. There is a reasonable amount of up-hill walking required to and from our locations. If fitness or mobility is an issue please let us know.

+EXPERIENCE

Ideally, you will have a basic knowledge of photography and be comfortable adjusting camera settings such as aperture and shutter speed. An aim of the workshop is to give you more confidence in the creative control of camera settings and shooting in manual mode, we will use a lot of “Live View” so make sure you have a second battery. We will have a brief session at the start of the workshop, covering camera settings and controls, to be sure everyone is up to speed.

If you are yet to master the basics, perhaps check out our Photo Schools in Auckland and Wellington.
