Based at Mt White Station in the Canterbury High Country, the Mt White Landscape Masterclass is the ideal programme to improve your knowledge and skills as a landscape photographer. We’ll take you out on some 4WD shoots to a range of stunning landscapes from mountains, to rivers to high country panoramas during sunrise and sunset.
This masterclass workshop will help you improve your skills and knowledge as a landscape photographer. Expert tutors Glen Howey and Ken Wright will lead you through a mixture of both tuition and post-processing sessions. Tutorials include composition, hyperfocal distance and achieving sharp photographs; designed to help you master the art of capturing awe-inspiring landscape photographs. We conclude the masterclass by printing 2 of your best images as 16×22″ fine art prints.
Mt White Station offers a diverse range of mountain and river landscapes. You’ll shoot sunrise over the mountains and Esk River, explore the Mounds of Misery, photograph the high country terraced landscapes and mountains with the Waimakariri River as a backdrop. On route back to Christchurch we’ll also visit the strange and spectacular landscapes of Castle Hill.
Ken Wright’s seascapes speak for themselves, outstanding moments in time that capture sunrise and sunset. With 40 years experience in creative industries, Ken is highly skilled in design, illustration and photography.
Glen has been a travel, documentary and landscape photographer for more than 30 years. As an educator at Massey University, The Photo School and through workshops, really enjoying helping others discover their affinity for photography.

Once again, Ken and Glen were wonderful, I never cease to be amazed at their ongoing enthusiasm and delight at what is on offer and what they can find for us to photograph. They are both a credit to New Zealand Photography Workshops. Your administration support and response to queries is also commendable. The timeliness of responses and information is really appreciated.
