Richard Young’s work offers a fresh approach to New Zealand landscape photography, he defines himself as a photographic artist working within the landscape. His vision has developed from years of capturing the grand vista to focus on an emotional and expressive engagement in the landscape he works in—to produce distinct and personal bodies of work.

Richard’s landscape-focused work has won awards in numerous international landscape photography competitions. His work has been widely exhibited across New Zealand, Canada, America and England in solo and group exhibitions. He is a brand ambassador for Epson Printers & Paper and also works with Nikon New Zealand as an official Nikon Creator.

Richard has a passion for teaching photography and works to motivate and inspire people who join his workshops. He has guided groups of photographers in New Zealand since 2010 and founded New Zealand Photography Workshops in 2013.
